[CIVIL3DIMPORT]
Imports or converts Civil 3D objects from .dwg file
This option allows the user to import Civil 3D objects (such as Civil 3D Surface, Volume Surfaces, Grid Surfaces, Cogo Points, Point Groups, Alignments, etc.). If you importing Civil 3D Surface, solution will automatically create a TIN surface.
Two methods are supported: converting from the current drawing or selecting a .dwg file (containing AutoCAD® Civil 3D objects) for import.
- Select drawing to import:
If the import method is used, you need to locate a .dwg file that contains Civil 3D objects. Once loaded, the solution will automatically detect which Civil 3D objects are present in the drawing. After selecting the desired objects, the solution will import them. Power Path will automatically create a TIN Surface if you importing a Civil Surface.
Surface properties can be found in the Properties panel, allowing for further analysis or editing.
- Convert from current drawing:
If the method of converting from the current .dwg is used, the user must first open the drawing directly in the Power Path solution and then use the "Convert from current drawing" option. As with the previous method, the solution will automatically create a TIN Surface if a Civil Surface is imported.
