[MAPCONNECT]

Creates or edits connections to external map services (such as WMS), letting you bring in geospatial imagery or mapping data into your drawing 


Options:

  • Name : Specifies a label for the connection (e.g., “WMS_01”).
  • Server URL :
  • The address (URL) of the Web Map Service you want to connect to.
  • Server version :
     Defines which WMS version (or “default”) to use if the server supports multiple versions.
  • User account:
     If checked, enter login and password credentials for servers that require authentication.
  • Proxy server:
     If checked, specify the proxy address, port, and any necessary login credentials.
  • Remember passwords:
     If checked, stores your credentials so you don’t have to reenter them each time.
  • Connect button:
     Attempts to establish a connection with the specified WMS (or other map service) using the provided settings.
  • Cancel button:
     Closes the dialog and cancels the map connection setup.
