[PP_SETTINGS]

Opens settings dialog

 TAB – General
Options:
– Language: display language. Application needs to be restarted when the language has been changed. Currently, only English version of software solution is available.
– Show conductor in 3D view as: Polyline – catenaries will be rendered as 3D polylines. Recommended settings for better
performance. Solid – catenaries will be rendered as 3D solid. Graphically more demanding.
– Show conductor blowout: if “Yes” option is selected conductors will be shown in the plan view.
– Save as default: settings will be saved and applied to every drawing.

TAB – Units

Options:

– Cross section: total conductor cross section.

– Diameter: equivalent conductor diameter.

– Specific weight: depending on the unit settings, either conductor weight per length divided by cross section or conductor weight per length.

– Elastic modulus: Young’s modulus of elasticity, measure of material’s stiffness, σ=ε·E.

– Tensile stress: Breaking load divided by cross section.

– Wind pressure: wind load pressure.

– Wind velocity: wind speed.

– Temperature: used in conductor temperature coefficient and weather conditions.

– Insulator weight: physical weight of the model.

– Insulator wind area: cross section area used for wind load calculations on insulators.

– Force: used in multiple calculations.

– Linear unit precision: number of decimal digits.

– Angular unit precision: number of decimal digits.

– Linear units: units for length, height, etc.

– Angular units: angle representation.

(Note: drawing units and precision are defined in CAD settings)
